5 Ugly Shoe Trends we Hope to Never See Again

Let's face it, we have all been a victim of terrible trends.  Look back at a few pictures of you in the 90's and you'll wonder 'why' you ever wore anything from that era.  The same thing happens with shoe trends and here are our top five shoe trends we hope never come back.

1. Birkenstock Clogs: If you were any age when these came out, these were your go to shoe.  At the time they were the thing to have on your feet but now we look back and shudder.

2. Traditional Clog: I still, to this day, am not sure how these were ever popular.  The only acceptable time to wear them now is for Halloween if you are being a 60's or 70's chick.

3. Platform Flip Flops: Why, why, why!? I'm sure there are still some of you with a pair of these in your closet.

4. Platform Sneakers: Again, why?! Sneakers are sneakers, meant to be worn for comfort not to add a platform to.  Apparently adding a platform to any and every shoe was a thing back in the day.

5. Sliders: If you worked in an office this was most likely your go to summer shoe to wear, they were comfortable and went with everything.  Although they are way out of style now there is still a place in our heart for these, we just hope to never see them again.

What's your least favorite past trend that you loved when it came out?!

Favorite Fall Treats

Some may say the best part about fall is the weather, some may so the colors of the leaves changing, but I think we can all agree that one of the best things about fall is the fall treats! If you are having any kind of family get together or Halloween party the following treats are a must have!

1. Cinnamon Candied Pecans: These are a great treat for fall and good to have around the house whenever your sweet tooth kicks in.  Make a large bowl for any party because these things are addicting and will be gone in an instant!

 2. Apple Cider Caramel Cookies: It isn't fall if you don't mix a little bit of apple cider into a treat somewhere. These cookies are a fall favorite and your guests will be begging you for the recipe.

 3. Nutella and Pumpkin Cupcakes: First of all who doesn't love a good cupcake! And hello, who can turn down nutella and pumpkin together!?

4. Spiced White Chocolate Mocha: It's not fall without a warm fall beverage to finish off the evening.  Try out something different than your average apple cider drink.

 5. Mini Caramel Apples: You truly can't have fall without caramel apple treats.  This is a great idea to scoop out the center of the apple and have mini caramel apples! They are easier to eat and a lot less messy.

Enjoy these fall treats!

How to Transition Your Summer Wardrobe to Fall without Breaking the Bank

Those long summer nights are over and we are finally kicking off fall with our favorite pumpkin flavored treats, fall booties, and skinny jeans.  The hardest part is figure out your first fall outfits without having to go buy the latest trends.  Here are a few simple steps to take to help transition your summer wardrobe into fall.

Step 1.  Decide what your staple pieces are and play them up. Whether it is your favorite maxi dress or a great white button up take your pick.  The easiest way to make something fall is with a great leather jacket, and if you don't already have one that's the one staple pieces you need this fall.  Pair it over your maxi dress or favorite tank and it's an instant fall look.

Step 2. Buy the booties.  This fall is all about boot season and boot trends.  Switch out your sandals for short booties and pair with a skirt, rolled skinnies, or even tights.  They are a great transition before you start rocking the over the knee boots for winter.

Step 3. Change up your colors.  Summer is all about lights and brights but fall is here so embrace your darker side. Swap out your pink lips for a burgundy shade and change your bright teal mani for a nude or olive shade.

Hopefully these fall wardrobe tips will help you transition from summer to fall!
