Top 5 Shoe Trends for 2014

We are well into 2014 with spring approaching us very quickly.  I'm sure you have obsessed over what the hot trends are going to be and what color swimsuit you should buy.  Instead of giving you a recap of what you already know I am going to give you the top 5 shoe trends everyone should be doing this year.

1. Ankle Strap Pumps: The sleek pump has been ruled by women of the office for years, but new designs and new details ,such as a skinny ankle strap, are giving your typical office pump a new life.  This pump screams sexy appeal and confident.  It can easily still be worn at the office, but it makes for a much better date night shoe.

2. Sheers: The sheer trend has been rising for a few years now.  2014 is the year of the sheer shoes.  I'll admit, you either love them or hate them there's not really an in between.  But don't knock it til' you try it! These shoes are great for a fun outfit and a day out to adventure your local art galleries or shops. They are especially nice on a hot day when you need that extra breeze to run through your shoes.

3. Summer Booties: Personally, this is my favorite trend.  Booties look great on all leg shapes, and they are super comfy.  Adding more support around the ankle, and usually featuring a thicker heel booties are perfect for your everyday wear.  Any pair of summer booties will turn your outfit from ordinary to wow!

4. Mules: These are the go to shoes for a day out running errands, shopping, or going into the office.  Really, they can be worn for just about anything and everything.  A wedged mule is also super comfortable! If you don't have a pair in your closet, you should reconsider!

5.Sporty: Although there is nothing new about tennis shoes and sporty sandals, there is something new about using that same idea for heels, platforms, and more.  Designers are taking an entirely new spin on the sporty look by featuring sporty heels with mesh details and rubber bottoms or platformed sandals that look very similar to those old school Velcro ones that we all used to wear.

There you have it, the top five shoe trends for this year! Rock em!
